Submissions have ended. Judging begins now!

The Doko Film Fest is about high school age film makers, from the across the USA and Beyond, stimulating and entertaining a live audience with their visual story telling art. It's a place where the film makers interact with the audience and other film makers to explain their films, to receive reaction and comment on their work. At the end of the Film Fest, awards will go to the best film in each film category as well as the best Doko Film Fest film.

New Board Member Join Doko Film Fest

Robert Matheson  

A community engaged artist living and working in Newberry, South Carolina. His work is focused on improving the health and well-being of others through the arts. In 2019, Robert established Newberry Made, a local artist & maker registry. His most recent endeavor is the Non-Fungible Token Museum, which hosts digital art exhibitions to educate the community about innovations in technology while promoting emerging artists.

Jerry L Lane
Jerry is a retired military veteran who loves family, and people share his passion through his life experience in becoming a well-rounded visionary, storyteller, writer, author, publisher and screenplay writer. 

Michele Gangale 

Michele has run The More Than Decent Film Festival for the past 2 years, and in March of this year she opened the MTD Arthouse Theatre, both located in Newberry, S.C. Her passion for promoting the creative talent within the community grew from a desire to honor her late husband, Dino Gangale. She has 3 children that support her in all her efforts. 

Raymond Smith 

Founder and Former Director of Doko Film Fest.


Ray is  a Film Producer, Screenwriter and Actor in short films and documentaries.

He is also Business Educator.
