Tell us your story in video.

It's up to each film maker to choose the story they want to tell. Be sure to get permissions to use people, music and b-roll. We don't want you being sued! Film categories are listed below. 

Obviously, we don't want you to offend anyone, so please don't.

Each film should be longer than 4 but not longer than about 10 minutes in length, except for the music video (at least 3 minutes) and the animation (1 to 3 minutes).

Films that are selected to be shown at the film festival will be shown to the whole audience and the film festival judges. 

After the showing of each film, filmmakers will be invited to answer questions from the audience about their film.

Judges will select the best film of each category.

At the award ceremony at the end of the film festival, each winning high school filmmaker will be given their award, just like the Oscars! 

There will also be an award for the best film of the film festival. 

*Please note that all persons under the age of 18 who are listed as being involved in making or performing in the film being submitted to the Doko Film Fest will need to have their parent/guardian sign a release form found below.
